On October 23 of 2014, I went to the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo to view the “Hishida Shunso: A Retrospective”.
Hishida Shunso is famous and important Japanese-style painter flourished in the Meiji era and died at only 39 years old.
The most well-known one of his pieces of work is the “Kuroki Neko” (Black Cat).
I was astonished by the fabulousness of the painting.
